What Sets Us Apart?

While providing a high-level educational experience in a small group setting, WACR has historically and currently maintained a “not-for-attribution” policy, allowing speakers and members the freedom to express their opinions without attribution or further distribution.

WACR has distinguished itself by promoting meetings where speakers address difficult issues such as Israel/Palestine, Afghanistan, Pakistan, North Korea, nuclear energy, and global trade issues. Members always engage the speaker in a Q & A that is lively and sometimes controversial, leaving the speaker and the members both benefiting from the caliber of the discussion.

Our policy is to offer diversity as well as expertise to our members. Our mission is not to reach consensus but to assure that all sides of the foreign policy issue will be presented, explored, and discussed.

WACA National Conference in Washington, DC

WACA holds an annual conference in Washington, DC in early November. The conference includes outstanding foreign policy experts, panel discussions on key topics, small roundtable groups, a large dinner event, and cocktail receptions at two or more foreign embassies.  These are usually not-to-be-forgotten programs with exposure to former White House personnel, former Cabinet members, retired ambassadors from strategically important countries, and authors on current foreign policy issues.
