Our Programs
To educate and inspire members, WACR usually schedules 10 monthly dinner meetings a year at the Irondequoit Country Club. A cocktail reception at 6:00 precedes dinner, followed by a thirty-minute presentation by the featured speaker. A lively Q&A session follows allowing members to ask questions and engage in a dialogue with the speaker. Speakers range from ambassadors, leading authors, noted journalists, university faculty, foreign policy scholars, “think tanks” and foundations. To consistently obtain the high quality of speakers desired, the schedule does require flexibility, including holding an occasional luncheon instead of a dinner.
DUES AND FEES
Annual dues are $180 per household, not per member. Members, spouses, interested adult children, or friends are welcome to attend as guests. Dues fund the speaker honorarium, and necessary logistics of transportation, meals, and lodging for the speaker.
WACR is a 501(c)(3) organization and the annual dues are fully tax-deductible.
The cost of monthly meetings is separate from the annual dues. The dinner price will be listed on each meeting notice and is paid prior to each meeting.

COVID Precautionary Notice
WACR, in partnership with CCR, is committed to resuming programming when it is deemed safe to do so. The safety of our members is our number one priority and we are committed to limiting exposure to the coronavirus.
We will be following the most conservative guidelines available from leading global and local health authorities (such as the CDC, WHO and Monroe County Health Department), which include mask-wearing, social distancing, frequent hand washing, and limiting the number of people gathered. Specific requirements will be communicated when in-person programming resumes. Please note that we may need to adjust or cancel programs as new information comes to light. If it becomes necessary for us to cancel, we will make every effort to provide as much notice as possible.
